Synopsis

This is my second book of Western stories. The first being "Massacre at Union Junction", and if you have read that book you'll realise that my stories have a few small differences to the normal Western, the most important of which being, that they are set in Ireland. My cowboys have mostly Irish names, though their nicknames are usually the stereotypical names of the Western genre. Their speech is a mixture of the old Cowboy lingo from the past, and the Irish way of speaking. I must warn the reader however, that neither of the species spoke Oxford English in their daily lives, so do not look for grammatically correct dialogue. Why, I hear you ask? Well, I say why not, because we've had the original Western books and Movies, written and set in the U.S.A. where of course it all happened. Then we've had the Spaghetti Western Movies, using mostly Latino actors and the breath-taking landscapes of Spain, Italy and even Malta. So, why not have Irish Westerns, haven't we got our own breath-taking landscapes? Sure we have, and in abundance.

If you don't believe me, take a trip sometime around the Silvermine Mountains of North Tipperary, The Slieve Phielims in Limerick, or those wonderful, mysterious Galtees of South Tipperary. To me, this is real Cowboy & Injun Territory!
