Synopsis

In warfare, innovation is essential. New materials, fresh tactics, cunning design and scientific progress will always lend the edge in battle, but just as important are advances in the technology around the battlefield and, indeed, introduce the vital element of surprise.

The Weapons that Changed History tells a wider story of warfare. Highlighting the most important conventional weapons of all time the book also embraces concepts, communications and inventions that help to ensure victory in the theatre of war.
