Synopsis

For many people with an interest in 70s decor and design it can be overwhelming to know where to look, what to buy, what colours to use and how to style their home without it looking like a 'junk shop' or a pastiche. That's where 70s House comes in: with advice, tips and tricks to creating a thoroughly 70s space (or even just a few featured items) this vibrant book is crammed full of 70s interiors and bright, retro imagery. Clear

and attractive photos illustrate how this can translate to readers' own interior projects.

The book is split into three sections: 70s influences - what shaped the era?; How to bring 70s to your interior design; and At home with 70s House Manchester.

Part living manual, part interiors guide, 70s House will bring not just the colours and kitsch to the modern day, but also the freedom, rebellious spirit, joy and pure fun epitomised by the era - because the 70s is so much more than just the decade that taste forgot.

70s House Manchester started as the home of Estelle Bilson, daughter of an antiques dealer, who has been collecting since 1990. A former Saville Row product developer and technical designer, Estelle designs and sells her own 70s-style luxury wallcoverings, fabrics and homeware from her online boutique, www.70shousemanchester.com. Estelle can be seen regularly on BBC1 co-hosting The Bidding Room, presented by Nigel Havers, where she displays her vast knowledge of mid-century and 70s curiosities. Her 70s House is available to hire as a location for film, photography and weddings and has featured in ad campaigns for ASOS, The Hippie Shake and more.
