Jason Butwick practices in all aspects of partnership and employment law, focusing on the financial services sector. His practice covers structuring and drafting tailored partnership and employment documentation (such as partnership agreements, deeds of admission, employment contracts, incentive and deferral plans, policies and procedures) and advising on SMCR and Remuneration Code implications. He also regularly advises on partnership and employment disputes (such as disciplinary and grievance processes, dismissals, unlawful discrimination and whistleblowing claims, disputed member removals, bonus and remuneration disputes, and enforcement of confidentiality and non-competition obligations). Chris Horrocks advises on restructurings, debt financings and insolvencies across Europe and the emerging markets. He has significant experience acting for a range of funds, financial institutions and corporates on high-profile multi-jurisdictional refinancing and restructuring transactions, using the available insolvency and reorganisation tools and processes to achieve his clients' goals, including schemes of arrangement, pre-packaged administrations and security enforcement. Jonathan Angell represents both listed and unlisted companies, equity finance providers and others on the full range of domestic and cross-border M&A and joint venture transactions. In addition, Mr. Angell regularly advises leading UK, European and US private equity firms in connection with leveraged buyouts, P2Ps, secondary buyouts and growth/venture capital investments. He also has fund formation experience, representing limited partners in connection with private equity investments. Mr. Angell also has extensive experience in the energy sector covering downstream oil and gas, coal bed methane, solar, carbon credits and regulation. Daniel Hawthorne acts for a broad range of corporate and financial services clients with a focus on UK and international tax matters. He has wide-ranging experience in the areas of corporate M&A, finance, financial services and investment funds. In addition, he has particular expertise in employee taxation and incentivization matters.
