Synopsis

Snowboarding is one of the most fascinating and fun winter sports for men and women of all ages. Whether it be the snowboarders in the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics or the many thousands of hobby sportsmen and women - they are all united by the experience in life of snowboarding. It's all about allowing one's fantasy free rein, whether it be just gliding along on the piste, jumping over obstacles or breaking one's own personal speed record. "Freedom on the board" is achievable by one and all. This book serves as a help for you on the way to becoming an enthusiastic snowboarder. It offers an ideal introduction to snowboarding with its numerous coloured illustrations, precise descriptions and well-researched instructions. It has been built up systematically, starting with the first attempts at standing and moving through to successful downhill runs.
