Synopsis

A classic novel about the Peninsular War from the celebrated author of the HORNBLOWER series

On its epic journey the cannon begins to gain almost mystical significance. For, with the gun, they are no longer a band of Spanish irregulars, they are an army able to take on the cream of Napoleon's troops...

The Gun
Good
Fascinating story set in the peninsula wars. The tale of a gun and the consequences of it's being captured are told well in a book I enjoyed.
