A mother and her teenage daughter are found murdered in a remote farmhouse, one defiled by multiple stab wounds and the other left lying like Sleeping Beauty waiting for her Prince. Although the Joe O'Loughlin books can be read in any order, Close Your Eyes is the eighth in the series after Watching You. The next in the series is The Other Wife.
