Synopsis
This is a story about a girl and a boy. More specifically, this is a story about their senses, or rather, the loss of their senses. The first time the girl loses her ability to speak is when she is 17 years old. After her divorce and losing custody of her 9 year old son, she finds solace in studying the ancient language of Greece. The boy is slowly losing his eye sight. He might be able to keep his eyesight for a year or two. After living in Germany for more than a decade, the boy leaves his family members behind and returns to Korea by himself. He decides to teach Greek. The boy closely watches over his mute and emotionless student, the girl. This is how the boy and girl meet each other. This book is a story about their past and how their current lives become intertwined.
