Due to new developments in control engineering, the author has expanded his previous work - "Control System Technology" - into two new volumes, this being the first. It contains new information on transducers, amplifiers, controllers, process control systems, final control elements, recording instruments, noise reduction techniques, servomechanics, signal conditioning and data conversion and transmission. This range of information aims to give a detailed description of the basics of automatic control systems. It attempts to provide a balanced introduction to the complete field of knowledge.
