Beyond Transition: Ten Years After the Fall of the Berlin Wall - UNDP/RBEC Policy Workshop, 11-15 October 1999

This report presents the results of a week-long high policy workshop entitled "Beyond Transition: Ten Years after the Fall of the Berlin Wall" which took place in October 1999. This workshop provided a platform for critical analysis of the dramatic changes that took place in the CEE and CIS countries during the 1990s, and reflection on the lessons to be drawn from success and failures. Contributors comment on key themes in the context of an overall analysis of the decade of transition after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the general focus of which was on human development and security.
