Developing Multicultural Educators

Encouraging students to incorporate multicultural education issues into their own thinking, this new text helps students see how their perceptions of the multicultural world impact their teaching. Rather than telling students how to address multicultural issues, the text helps students examine their own identities to develop effective strategies in incorporating multicultural education into the classroom. The text draws on a variety of sources-the author's and other educator's experiences in teaching multicultural education, literature on multicultural education, and the fields of psychological, philosophical, and sociological foundations of education.
