Experiments in Basic Chemistry

The experiments in this laboratory manual introduce students to many of the common techniques of the chemical laboratory while supplementing and reinforcing the concepts studied in the lecture portion of the course. Organic chemistry techniques, including recrystallization, extraction, melting points, chromatography, distillation and synthesis, are integrated into experiments.
