This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the First IEEE/ACM International Workshop on Grid Computing, GRID 2000, held in Bangalore, India in December 2000. The 18 revised full papers presented together with an invited paper and a keynote paper were carefully reviewed and selected for inclusion in the proceedings.
