Arising out of the World Conference for All, held in Jomtien, Thailand in May 1990, this book provides detailed accounts of projects for implementing primary education for all: in Andhra Pradesh, India; Indonesia; Sri Lanka; Zambia; Guatemala; and Rajasthan, India. Later chapters look at the experiences to be learned from the projects, the importance of participation at all levels and the need for further research on primary education in developing countries.
