Kawaii Design+

Kawaii Design+ focuses on each artist's understanding of kawaii, asking them to present their own perceptions of the concept, and to express their own unique adult kawaii through the theme of kawaii + artist's individual character. This book is a highly collectible contemporary design catalogue, bringing together the works of roughly 30 young contemporary artists and designers from around the world. Their designs cover the fields of product design, illustrations, graphic design, toys and installation art. In the accompanying text, the reader absorbs the different artists' interpretations of the kawaii cultural form and learns about how it has come to influence our lives.
