Knotted Threads: A Cultural Exchange with India

Knotted Threads presents the artistic dialogue that the Swiss artist Nesa Gschwend has maintained with India over many years. Special emphasis is placed on the search for phenomena that bind and distinguish these cultures and on the artistic exploration of their background. With this work the artist brings the two cultural spaces together in striking manners. The book makes it possible to understand the works in terms of a lengthy artistic process, while also offering insight into the complex links, contradictions, friendships and into the opening of new spaces for dialogue that the exchange with India has enabled.
