Jake has a problem. He has recently met an attractive girl but he doesn't realise that another girl has different plans for him. His immediate problem is about to be solved by an exchange of strange text messages with a third young girl he doesn't know. This will set in motion a chain of events that have a profound impact on his life, the community he lives in, and create a paradox for the rest of his life. By chance, he sees a politician expressing a view on television. In different circumstances he might have forgotten it but it sticks in his mind and he feels compelled to pursue the consequences. He comes to a conclusion that is radical and revolutionary. As events unfold, Jakes begins to wonder of some aspects of his future life have already been determined. If the script has already been written, should he play along, and does he have a choice? Linear 1 is provocative, controversial and reflects an age of cynicism.
