Linear Statistical Models: An Applied Approach

This discussion of simple linear regression, multiple regression, and anova focuses on model building, data analysis, and interpretation. It has been significantly reorganized and now contains 17 chapters. Conceptual, concrete, and applied aspects are stressed. Extensive SAS output is used as a convenient way to present regression results, although the book can be used by those who do not have SAS available. Whenever possible the book provides intuitive motivation as well as technical detail to support an understanding of the conceptual ideas behind linear models. The authors incorporate many recent topics in the area of regression into the text. Residual analysis is integrated into the book and exercises.
