Marcel Wanders: Interiors

Marcel Wanders, one of the most important Dutch designers, has recently been elected Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration. His product designs are produced for the biggest European contemporary design manufacturers like B&B Italia, Bisazza, Poliform, Moroso, Flos, Boffi, Cappellini, Droog Design and Moooi. Over the years he has broadened his horizons and nowadays he runs a studio of multi-disciplinary design, also specialising in architectural and interior design. This book focuses on his interior projects, which have become increasingly important. In February 2007 his latest project, the new Villa Modda store in Bahrain, was opened to the public. He's currently working on hotels in Miami and Los Angeles and on a villa in Jakarta. Among the projects described in this publication are: the Lute suites in Amsterdam (the first over-city suites in the world); the Blits restaurant in Rotterdam (the mind-blowing new culinary hotspot of the city); restaurant Thor at the Hotel on Rivington in New York (including bar, lounge and private club); and, many more.
