Missing Persons: Detective Felix O'Neill in a Crime Adventure
Synopsis
Felix O'Neill, along with his friend Dr. Garzon, investigate the chilling, ever-present and totally unexplained phenomenon of missing persons. They set out to discover why some people go missing and are never heard of again, at least in the land of the living. It may be that some of them become involved in strange cults ...Therefore, I, Dr. Arturo Garzon, as the official biographer and stalwart gentleman at arms of Mr. Felix O'Neill, have told this story from the point of view of 'an eye in the sky.' This has been in order to gain the benefit of being able to tell the story with objectivity. Not only with regard to O'Neill, as usual, but also as regards my own part in the affair. From experience I knew that O'Neill was viewing an imminent adventure but what would it be? We had no query, no plea for help, no challenge or mystery at hand that I knew of. I began to think of the great uncharted wildernesses in the world - the Amazon, the jungles of central Africa, the outback of Australia, the far islands of the Orient. I was completely mystified by my friend's demeanor. All of my previous adventures with Felix O'Neill had been in response to specific mysteries.
But this was to be the first case where O'Neill set out to explore a more general problem of a worldwide and recurring nature. This was to become the unique case of the Mystery of Missing Persons - a chilling, ever-present and totally unexplained phenomenon. And so began one of our most dangerous adventures. Not from any individual appeal for assistance but from a whimsical stray thought - a mere idea. But an idea from the mind of the world's most innovative and dedicated master detective, Mr. Felix O'Neill. The story tells of a little-known expedition on the part of O'Neill and myself. This was to explore the mystery behind the rumors of the numerous disappearances of innocent travelers in certain places. The place is irrelevant. It is enough that it all happened to O'Neill and myself far from civilization, barely escaping with our lives. I sincerely hope that this tale will be a warning to many.
