Mixed Blessing

A white man Thomas, falls in love with a coloured woman, Lena, and they get married. But this is South Africa 1946, just before such marriages became illegal under the apartheid regime. The story follows the couple as they attempt to cope with life under a legal system intent on tearing them apart. The reader enters into the hopes, fears and suffering of these two ordinary people caught up in events not of their making.
