This manual aims to be a guide to planned preventative maintenance engineering and consists of step-by-step instructions and advice for the installation and monitoring of plant reliability. Guidelines are laid down in an accessible format together with flow diagrams and documentation, and many sample forms are provided. These can easily be adapted to suit a maintenance engineer's needs, and are particularly helpful for the installation of a new system. The author is a maintenance manager and has worked as a plant engineer in a wide variety of process industries, both in Europe and the Middle East.
