Slim: The Standardbearer

In writing this book the author had access to all Slim's private papers, to the recollections of his family and to a store of unpublished material from fellow officers and friends. He describes Slim's retreat from Burma, the destruction of the Japanese in 1944 and the drive back to Rangoon.
