Space: The Final Frontier

Using guided imagery, planning, map-making, creative problem solving, and group interactive skills, students for 10 or more class periods assume professional roles and colonize a new planet. The simulation starts with students interviewing people who have related jobs; they take on the role of this person in the colony and help to structure the society and solve the many problems that would arise, both scientific as well as social. This Synergetics simulation is especially designed as a culminating project for an astronomy or futuristics study where the students have some prior knowledge of space.
