Synopsis

Dan Stockton, a train conductor, has the misfortune to be mistaken for Cy Monk - the notorious outlaw and most reviled man in the West. Uncannily similar in appearance, Stockton is even identified by the sheriff as the man who once abandoned a wagon train he was escorting through Indian country, resulting in the bloody slaughter of its settlers. Wanted and on the run, Stockton's troubles mount as he is forced to become a jail- breaker and a bank-robber. When it doesn't look as if things will ever get any better he finally convinces an army colonel of his true identity. Even then, he must face the real criminals - gun-runners who won't hesitate to shoot him down. Can Stockton win through?
