Set in northern England during the mid-1980s, life is difficult for 14 year old Pete Davies because of feuding divorced parents, bullying at school, loneliness, and his crush on the enigmatic Frances Bailey-Jones. A desperate prayer for help brings guidance from a most unlikely, surreal source.
