Under the Breadline: Claimants, the Social Fund and the Voluntary Sector - A Case Study

This report is on the impact the Social Fund has had on claimants from over 40 family centres throughout England and Wales. The report concludes that the Social Fund fails to meet the needs of large numbers of economically vulnerable people in our society. On the basis of these findings, a series of recommendations are set out for the replacement of the Social Fund.
