Virtual Reality in Engineering

Virtual reality is a computer-generated, three-dimensional scene within which a user can move and interact with objects. It is becoming popular both to enable the visualization of ideas and as a direct representation/simulation of complex objects and interactions. This introduction to the field of virtual reality explores its applications to the engineering profession, in such areas as the rapid prototyping of new products, simulation and systems management.
