Synopsis
The life and times of Dr John Groundes-Peace, covering a key period in British life through the 20th century, with all its social and class intricacies. John had an interesting war career culminating in gaining the MBE, before qualifying from Edinburgh. He took up drawing and photography as well as gardening and genealogy. He died from cancer at home in 1991. The result is a fascinating blend of snobberies, frustrations, trials, torments and justice, as seen through the eyes of a keen observer. It provides an insight into coping with problems and confronting realities.
