Synopsis
Set in Weimar Germany soon after Germany's catastrophic loss of World War I, the story follows young veteran Wolf, a handsome, amiable and shiftless young man, addicted to the thrill of gambling. Recklessly losing everything in Berlin, a city in chaos, he flees to the countryside. It is here he find his redemption, finding gainful employment and healing himself, away from the temptations of the city.
