Poetry Launch: K Patrick with Rachael Allen
The author of Mrs S comes to Foyles Charing Cross Road for the launch of their ground-breaking debut collection of poems, Three Births, in an evening of readings and conversation hosted by Rachael Allen.
K Patrick’s daring and playful poems touch on love, landscapes and the body in a powerful call for a new poetics of contemporary queer experiences. This wildly beautiful collection confirms K Patrick as one of the most thrilling voices in contemporary literature.
K Patrick is a poet and fiction writer based on the Isle of Lewis. In 2021 they were shortlisted for both the White Review Poet’s Prize and Short Story Prize, and in 2020 they were runner-up in the Ivan Juritz Prize and the Laura Kinsella Fellowship. In 2022 they were named a Granta Best of Young British Novelist. Their debut novel Mrs S was published in 2023.
This event will be hosted by poet Rachael Allen, the author of Kingdomland and God Complex.
The event will be followed by a book signing. Doors open from 6:45pm.
