Tomi Adeyemi has been named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, and is a Hugo- and Nebula Award–winning writer, actress, and model based in New York. After graduating from Harvard University with an honors degree in English literature, she wrote the groundbreaking, instant #1 New York Times-bestselling Legacy of Orïsha series, which includes Children of Blood and Bone, Children of Virtue and Vengeance, and Children of Anguish and Anarchy.

Zai Sylla is a cultural creator, storyteller and actress. With a platform of more than half a million followers, she shares her love for Black stories and living life authentically & lovingly. She has been featured in the Huffington Post and Good Morning America. Her recent acting credits include The Kitchen, co-directed by Daniel Kaluuya. She is currently writing her own middle grade African mythology fantasy series.

The event will be followed by an audience Q&A and a meet-and-greet with Tomi (books for sale will be pre-signed).
