if we are looking for an heir to the late,great john sullivan,he of only fools and horses citizen smith dear john et al then this writer has made a very persuasive case for hmself with this work,rip roaringly funny and cliched as this sounds then it was very hard to put down

First novel from Francis Quirke .And we follow the adventures of Charlie Funble as he juggles overseeing a loft conversion in London and building a new house in Bulgaria. What with an eccentric married couple in London to deal with and the language and cultural differences in Bulgaria, comedy soon arrives in a series of farces. A decent first novel from Quirke with a little dash of romance and some nice descriptions ,it’s a nice first novel outing. I shall be looking out for more novels from Francis Quirke. Colin Searle
