A great book which covers all the bad and good parts of life, covering running in the Jungle, the Artctic and rowing the ocean. It very honest and humbling story with some funny events (I particularly like the veet story!) It’s amazing how Pete’s mental state brings him through many of these events when he is physically wrecked. I like the interludes where his friends comment on things that they have done with him, it gives a new perspective of what a great man he is. If you want a book that covers an ordinary man who does some extraordinary things on the endurance level, then this is for you. You may even done some of the things he has done! Or maybe not!
