An enthralling read that will become the next book you simply cannot put down! I loved the story, which is filled with equal parts excitement and intrigue, well written characters that are both relatable and out of this world, and enough twists and surprises to keep you guessing. If you don't read this book, then you're missing out on a rare gem within which you can get lost, but also feel at home.

Absolutely loved this book…… From the very first chapter it pulls you in, and you find yourself immersed in the lives of the FBI, and the Avunaye. An edge of your seat thriller that you don’t want to put down. Characters are well thought out and believable and the format of the chapters, that introduce and focus on particular characters, I thought was a very effective way of keeping the reader captivated and wanting more. I was literally on the edge of my seat at times! Cannot wait for the next part!

It becomes clear to those investigating that they have no idea what they’re dealing with and it’s not over yet. This book has a very original story line, bringing biblical tales to the modern world in a fantasy twist. The character of Adam definitely plays on your heartstrings as he is in constant conflict with his siblings, dealing with the harsh reality of the world around him whilst trying to uphold his peaceful nature. I did enjoy the way the story brought an a superhuman element to the present day allowing us to imagine some of these scenes played out in New York as you would expect to see in an action movie. I will give advanced warning to future readers of Fear that there are A LOT of characters to remember and if you struggle with keeping up I would highly suggest writing them down as you discover them so it’s easier to follow. I managed to keep up with all of the characters but found myself sometimes saying '“who’s Luciana?” Oh wait, it’s Lucy!” It sounds crazy I know, but there are a lot of names to remember with some being referred by two different names! I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy the fantasy-in-real-life theme and I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for the next instalment of the series, which I’m sure there must be as there is much more fun to be had with this storyline.
