The ladies who started online dating soon got more than they bargained for and Mr Right Now is perhaps not so right! I really enjoyed this book. The way the characters and their relationships with one another were described really brought the characters to life for me and that particularly made me feel emotionally involved in the story. I became frustrated with the philandering husband and felt the frivolity of Joan smoking with her daughter and friend which made me really feel that I got to know the characters and their personalities. I found this so well written and really enjoyed the story. I wasn’t sure about the book as there weren’t endorsements from other authors on the cover but I’m so pleased I picked it up.

This is a really good book,really pleased I read it. It starts with Mr Always Right, his online dating name, having a woman tied up but having a weird kind of date. After this you have a group of other people,Paige lives with her mum,Joan,after having broken up with her boyfriend Noah since she came home to find her cousin, Heather, in bed with him. Heather had always wanted everything the same as Paige but she never thought that meant her boyfriend as well. Paige then also lost her job after a take over from a business in NewYork. There is also her friend Chloe and her husband Matt but things aren’t going well there either. Paige decides to find someone on the dating app Matchsticks where Mr Always Right is on. Every time Paige tried to make a date though she would get a call from either Paige or her mum needing her although maybe that was really lucky.

Oh my goodness if you were ever sceptical about online dating then this book would definitely make you more so ! We were introduced to each character in a fantastic way which had me invested in their lives and willing them to step away from certain situations. Paige is struggling with her life, she’s lost her job and her boyfriend has cheated on her with her cousin Heather. Her best friend Chloe has her own problems as she’s found out her husband has his profile on several dating sites. Paige’s mum Joan a widow is lonely and wants to find companionship in her later years. All the woman join a dating website looking for Mr Right but unbeknown to them the handsome Mr Right Now may be holding a deadly secret. The story is told from each characters point of view which made it interesting and insightful. I did guess the final twist but nevertheless I found it a real page turner and would highly recommend it. My first book by Joy Fielding definitely won’t be my last.

This is my first Joy Fielding book and I'm now wondering what I've been missing out on. I thought All The Wrong Places was just brilliant and totally unexpected in many ways. The blurb hints at the story but there's so much more there. It's essentially a story of online dating, the highs and the lows of it and how people can use it to hide their real selves. But although I was expecting a thriller, this is more a family and friendship drama with a serial killer aspect thrown in. Paige is the main character, a young woman who has been betrayed by her boyfriend. She's moved back in with her mother, Joan, and I thought both women were fantastic. Then there's Chloe, Paige's very best friend who's struggling with her unfaithful husband, and Heather, Paige's really quite unpleasant cousin. This is a book which has a strong focus on women and to be honest the men mostly come out of this story very badly (and rightly so in this case). What I also didn't expect was the dry humour. This is a book that had me smiling and giggling quite a lot. It's not a funny story but I found so many aspects amusing, such as Joan's first attempts at online dating at 70 and Paige's relationship with her mother. I just found this such an engaging book. And that ending! I was wondering how it was all going to be wound up and I only just worked it out ahead of the story. I thought it was so clever and such a surprise. I'd most definitely read another book by Joy Fielding as I really like her style.

This was tense and gruesome from the first chapter and was so well written you could feel the fear of the psychopaths "girls" and kind of lived through the dreadful situation with them page by page. Emotional, sick, graphic and chilling but was such a good story with clever plot twists along the way.
