Reviews: American Rust (2)
“excellent”
(Paperback)
American rust by Phillip Meyer was excellent. extemley well written, you don't feel there is a single wasted word. set in industrial America the story unfolds through the eyes of each of the main characters. starting with Isaac English and his best friend billy poe trying to escape the valley they live in. in some ways this reminded me of mice and men. I would definitely recommend this book, and am looking forward to reading more by Meyer.
“ONE SHOULD'T MISS THIS”
(Paperback)
This story is redolent with images of the American "Rust Belt" In many ways this is depressing , but certain characters stand out as a sign that not all is lost. Inspite of the situation the two main characters predicaments .
It is a cross between "The Road" & "The Grapes of Wrath"
A gripping read
