Reviews: Audrey, Wait (2)
“Fab, fresh and funny, I loved it!”
(Paperback)
All Audrey did was break up with her boyfriend. Next thing she knows he has witten a song about the break up that becomes a massive hit. Soon her life descends into chaos as the media, school mates and other musicians all want a piece of her.
This is a fab, fresh novel peppered with lots of musical references. Audrey is a winning central character, James her new potential boyfriend is adorable, but my favourite character has to be the outrageous and brilliant Victoria, who is the sort of BFF everyone longs for. A really good fun read for older teens.
“Audrey, Wait”
(Paperback)
There is just something about this book that got me intrigued. It was just something that I hadn’t come across before. The plot is just something different because of the way that Audrey becomes a superstar overnight due to her boyfriend and his stupid band.
Even though the plot was really different it was a brilliant book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Audrey is like any young girl, heartbroken when her relationship ended, but Audrey's problems are much different than anything I would go through, the guys from her school town just want to go out with her for the fame and fortune that they think come with the after effects of the song that was written about her, but not everyone she encounters what her for the fame and fortune that they think she will provide them. A great story about the trials and tribulations of being in a relationship and what happens afterwards. I recommend it to any teenage girl who has had trouble with men.
I hope Robin publishes a new book soon because I need something different and original to read.
