Reviews: Autumn (13)
“No Autumn glory”
(Paperback)
by SMB
If I get into a novel I will read it greedily until sated but I found this left me drifting off and forgetting it as I was actually reading! It languished on my bedside table for several weeks from autumn into winter. Whilst the characters had considerable potential, infuriatingly I found the author's formulaic writing style and lacklustre vocabulary diminished them. This felt like a first draft of the book in need of another season's work. Disappointing. My first Ali Smith and my last.
“Dreadful”
(Paperback)

No story. Gave up as I was so bored.
“Worst book I have read”
(Paperback)
by Orsum
What on earth was that all about. Why the hype and great reviews. I’ve now attempted to read this book three times to try to understand what all the fuss was about. I’ve still no idea what it’s about. Badly written, no story and now assigned to the bin where it belongs. A load of garbage!
