“Engaging and beautiful. But only once you have read the rules!”
(Game)
This is a really tactical game once you get to grips with the rules. I tried playing with my 12 year old and he got quite frustrated, but with other family members after a couple of re-reads and a Quick Look online it was great and made total sense. Visually it’s beautiful to see the tiles create mosaic patterns. Definitely a grower the more you play, but worth persevering with.
“Beautiful game but difficult to play”

This game is beautiful and is one of the most interesting looking faves ive ever seen. But it was so hard to understand the rules. Weve played the game and watch YouTube videos and still struggled with it! We will keep preserving with it as I have heard its a great game once you get into it
“Beautiful strategic game, does take a few goes to fully understand!”

Azul is a beautiful game which we have now got our head around.
At first take, it did get slightly confusing as we all looked at the rules slightly differently trying to figure out how it worked. However, once you play a few times you realise that tactics and being focused are needed, along with being competitive, for this game!
Games suggests 30-45 minutes per game, I think our first go was around 45mins, maybe more, where we got our head around it all.
The game pieces are absolutely stunning and made so beautifully. Honestly top quality and a game we love to play.
Amazing that you can actually start from 2 players too, meaning, as a couple, we can have time to compete against each other!
For us we love a tactical, strategic game we can get ourselves into. Even better that we've been able to understand it easier when we've had friends round to play too!
“Azul the strategy game”

Azul is an amazing strategy game for the whole family and if you love puzzles and abstract games it’s definitely worth checking out I love the gameplay and the layout of the game it’s a favourite at our games night when my aunt visited she’s had a go at and loved it
It’s a game for 2-4 players aged 8+ my 5 year old had a go think with more practice he will get better
“A beautiful game to play”

Me and my family have loved playing this game. We love the tiles there so colourful. The game does take a while to get used to. We did watch some you tube videos telling us how to play first, but once we got the hang of it we have enjoyed it lots. My 8 year old daughter has loved playing it and understood the rules better then us adults. I can see this game been taken away with us on holidays etc. A great game for everyone.
