“Fantastic, pretty, satisfying fun”

This game is fantastic fun, it brings out the artist in everyone. Creating fantastic mosaics and being competitive with friends in this wall mosaic builder. It's really fun and each tile is really pretty too. Really well made and easy to store away to play over and over
“Easy family fun”

A really fun family game which got us all together to build our mosaics. Took a few rounds to get into it but then the gameplay is fast and fun as you try to work out the best strategy. It uses some problem solving and decision making but the pace of the game is quite nice so everyone stays engaged and involved in trying to win. As a side note it’s a beautiful game which is really well made.
“Gets better and better”

We now love this game! It's a great game of strategy and fun, you have to try and fill your main board by picking tiles from the centre circles, fill your sidelines and move them over...but pick wisely as too many and you will end up losing more points than you earn. The instructions seem complicated at first, but persevere and you are rewarded with a fun game of skill. My children (13 and 10) are actively asking to play it as a family in preference to computer games so it is a great family game.
“Fast, fun, simple, addictive…”

Azul is fast to set up and fast to complete. Strategy, on-the-spot decision-making and luck combine together in the pursuit to score the most points against your opponent(s) by the time the game ends. This ultimately makes for a fun ~10-15 minutes of gameplay not too dissimilar in essence to Carcassonne (and in vibe even to a classic game of draughts, if you ignore the luck and point-scoring elements…) The fact even only two people can play means that this game can come out rather frequently (kids in bed, Azul and wine out!) and so can get rather addictive rather quickly. Though I imagine Azul would be even more fun (and possibly get quite competitive) when up to four people play. Considering the price point for such a quick game, you should hope to be getting it out rather frequently... Otherwise, it certainly would look very pretty and impressive in front of guests. Despite some reviewers describing this game as complicated, it’s actually incredibly simple compared to many board games I play (I highly recommend downloading the free Azul app to familiarise yourself with it quickly). It just takes a little getting used to, particularly the scoring aspect, which I definitely think is trickiest element to get to grips with. All in all, this makes a lovely light addition to anyone’s games cabinet, and I do recommend it.
“Such an addictive game, great fun!”

I was a bit nervous about playing Azul as it looked as if it would be quite complicated but after just a couple of games it was very easy to grasp the rules and it has become quite an addiction for myself and my partner. It’s a fairly quick game to play so we keep sneaking a game in whenever we can! I am starting to learn how to keep an eye on what my partner is doing to help me decide what my next move will be. The twist is when you add up extra bonus points at the end of the game so sometimes it’s a real surprise to find out who the winner is. Great game, I definitely recommend it.
