“Great read!!”
(Paperback)
This well-written novel follows a super heavy tank crew as they battle Orks on an inhospitable planet. I liked the way that the author puts so much thought into the practical details from how the tank interior would work, to the seemingly small actions of character. I found the too frequent backstory flashbacks of the hero Bannick generally less likeable as they broke up the story, although I appreciate they served a purpose to understand him. However, this was a minor criticism. The battle sequences were good, and one or two stood out. Overall excellent.
“Praise the Omnissah!”
(Paperback)
Mechanicum based books are always good for their obscure blend of religion and science. Enjoyable tank combat and having small sections from the Ork characters point of view was really entertaining! Didn't really care for the main characters backstory at all though...
