This first book sets the scene and you just have to read more adventures to see how the characters develop. Execellent as a class book, to fit into 15 minutes or at the end of the day because it is written in manageable chapters of 3 and 4 pages.

Beaver towers is the story of two islands where the main characters are talking animals.The evil witch Oyin is trying to take over the islands so the animals send for a hero. Phillip (a young boy) is mistaken as the hero and flys to Beaver Towers on a magic kite where he must try to defeat Oyin.Hinton writes in a really child friendly style and his character 'Baby B' will have children in stitches!! After reading the book to several primary school classes, I can honestly say children love this book!This the first in a set of 4 Beaver Towers books.
