4.5 stars WHAT WAS THAT ENDING?!!!! This is absolutely the best book in the Diviners series so far and I’m shook. From beginning to end, this book packs a punch. It is so easy to see from this book alone why this series is such a YA classic. The atmosphere is amazing, the author does such a great job at making you feel completely immersed in 1920s New York. The ghosts and the asylum were so creepy and intense, and I thought the author paced the story perfectly. I really loved how this book really starts to unravel the overarching plot of the series. The characters all feel so real and I just love them all so so much - which is why half a star is docked, because of that one scene with Jericho, like it was so unnecessary and so untrue to his character? Other than that, I loved this so much and can’t wait for the final book!
