“Scandalous”
(Paperback)

A story that kept me in my toes. Definitely not what I had expected. Truly great story!
“Outrageously enjoyable “My wife” trope, but with frustrating lack of communication.”
(Paperback)
by Aly Farquhar
Trigger warning for this book: past rape. Declan and Evie are forced together by the will of her estranged father. To fulfil her father’s wish, Evie must marry her father’s business partner, who is also her complete opposite. What’s worse? That may not be the only stipulation left in that will… Whilst I enjoyed the clear ferocity that comes with the “my wife” trope, there was so much of this story that was unrealistic. And if not unrealistic, it fell within the perks only afforded to the 1%. Also, I find it incredibly hard to believe that I would want to listen to the wishes of my estranged father enough to follow his wishes as blindly as Evie did. Let’s not address Evie’s poor trauma. When all said and done though, I’m a sucker for a man who knows what he wants, and therefore this was an enjoyable, yet saucy read.
