Reviews: Breakup from Hell (1)
“A fun, world-ending rom-com!”
(Hardback)
Breakup From Hell is a fun YA rom-com that follows Miguela Angeles in her last year of high-school. In a meet-cute all book lovers dream of, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious Sam after they bond over their favourite horror author in the local bookshop she works at. But as things for Mica and her friends get stranger and stranger, they realise Sam and his unpleasant sister might be the cause. If they don't do something soon, there could quite literally be hell to pay! Sam's character kept me entertained and on my toes throughout, and enjoyed the escalating fued between Mica and his sister, Rona. I also really loved how Mica and her abuela's relationship changed and evolved as Mica learnt more about herself and her past, and her abuela started to see how strong and capable she really was.
