“A romantic novel of love finding a way!”

Fate brings Maisy Gallagher and Chase Furst together at Chicago Airport and sits them on adjoining seats in the plane. When they arrive in Seattle, Maisy offers to drive Chase to his destination and when he offers to pay she tells him to ‘pay her kindness forward’. Maisy is looking forward to training to be a nurse and Chase’s father owns Furst Bank, yet they find themselves falling in love.
‘Chasing The Clouds Away’ is a romantic novel where two people who come from completely different walks of life meet on a flight and unexpectedly fall in love. I’ve been a massive fan of Debbie Macomber since reading her Cedar Cove novels then watching them serialised on television and have read all of her books I’ve been able lay my hands on. So when I saw ‘Chasing the Clouds Away’ I couldn’t wait to start reading and I’m delighted to say it hasn’t disappointed. I’ve been involved from page one as I’ve learnt about Chase’s childhood and the closeness of Maisy’s family, and she’s such a kind unassuming person I kept hoping they’d find a way to be together. This story has had some truly likeable characters who I’ve wanted to read more about, and its lovely warm conclusion has left me with the feel-good factor. I can wholeheartedly recommend this novel for anyone who wants to lose themselves in a romantic novel.

Nothing is more comforting than a Debbie Macomber book, and this one truly exceeded that for me. I first fell in love with the grumpy-sunshine dynamic right from the start, and I couldn’t help but chuckle as Maisey’s free spirit refused to take a back seat to Chase’s rejection and rude behavior. But oh my! When Chase is met with a challenge that makes him really stop and think about what someone like Maisey would do, his whole world begins to shift. And I loved every moment of his journey.
This is pure joy and happiness wrapped in a gentle reminder for everyone. I confess, I sometimes get caught up in my own needs and forget about those around me, and this is a heartfelt nudge to do better. Thank you, Ms. Macomber, for bringing to life characters who inspire me to kindness and remind me to pay it forward.
“a fantastic read”

A chance meeting at an airport for Maisy and Chase both of their lives upside down. They couldn’t be more different but they are perfect for each other. The characters in this book are so well described I really felt like I knew them. It was lovely to read about Maisy’s family and how they all pulled together. Whereas Chase and his dad’s relationship was completely different. It had me hooked from the first page and I was totally invested in both Maisy and Chases lives. A brilliant 5 star read that shows the true meaning of family, friendship and love and had me in tears for the last few chapters.

“Sweet Read”

I loved this story. It's the type of story that makes you smile at the end. It's romantic, it talks about the importance of family and it lets love rule. It's very simple tale, that's refreshing. It's romantic without going into details and made me smile through the whole story. I loved how the story doesn't have any malevolence in it and that any problem are easily solved so there is more room for togetherness and kindness.
Very easy read. It took me two days to read.
