Having already enjoyed the first two books I couldn't wit to start reading Checkmate. I was not disappointed. Although Checkmate wasn't as good as the first book i thought it was better than the second and well worth reading. I would reccomend this book to adults and teens alike, but make sure to read the first two before you start this one. The Noughts and Crosses series is still my favourite and I suspect it will be for a very long time. A must read series for lovers of action, romance, and forbidden love.

Wow !! this book ia actually amazing!! A love story with evil, hatred and friendship all mixed in. tears were in my eyes with the compelling ending .. Amazing this book will make you laugh cry and jump for joy all at the same time *****

i loved the trilogy and cried in every single one. however this one was the best!! the most jaw dropping and nail biting!!! i read it in about a week because i just couldnt put it down and i needed to read on!!! malorie blackman is a amaing writer and i have read more of her material after reading the nughts and crosses trilogy. i would say it was suitible for people over 14 years old.

I have read so far three in this series and i think that they are fab!!! A compelling love story between to separate races, a bit like Romeo and Juliet. I absolutely love this book! The suspense is gripping. It is quite a chunky read so required my full attention, but I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It has been great following the plot since the first book in the Noughts and Crosses series - I am totally invested. Can't wait to read the next one
