Reviews: Dash (5)
“Well written and unpredictable....”
(Paperback)
Great book bustling with life’s ups, downs and all that a new dog and planning a wedding can possibly bring! As a reader and a dog lover, I felt I was on the journey from start to finish sharing the panic, joy, near misses and unexpected surprises along the way - you just never knew what the next page would bring!
Anyone who has, wants or just wonders how a dog’s mind works, will enjoy reading this. Dash was just doing what a dog does best – trading a ‘challenging’ settling in period for a lifetime of devotion and dedication that only a pet dog can offer to a household!
Had the honour of meeting the canine star recently – she is absolutely ‘dashing’!!
“No bitch...and absolute charmer”
(Paperback)
If you have a dog, or are thinking about introducing one into your world, you'll adore this book. Even if you're not doolally about dogs, there's more than enough in this book to keep you turning the page.
The entertaining descriptions of Dash's development, from crazed lunatic, to stealing the show in the wedding finale, are laugh-out-loud witty and give a refreshingly honest insight into the realities of dog ownership.
But don't be fooled by its canine focus - the most engaging parts of this memoire are the ones that involve Sarah (the author's girlfriend/fiance...and by the end of the book, wife). The way the author describes her, their blossoming relationship, the wedding day itself, and (most memorably) the most thoughtful, romantic, tear-inducing proposal ever, is simply charming.
“Dash”

Fantastic book. I laughed, cried and empathised. Have two greyhounds of my own and it brought back memories of my experience.
Recommend this book to everyone thinking of getting a rescue greyhound.
“Fantastic book!”
(Paperback)
Well-written, funny, smart, touching... What else can I say? Fantastic book for young and adults, for dog lovers (and not only), for men and women - everyone will enjoy it a lot!!! Definitely recommended!!!!
“hilarous capers of a beautiful dog”
(Paperback)
Bought this book not knowing the author but after the first page was completely hooked. The ups and downs Andrew has with dash are hilarious and tells you the truth about dogs. Would thoroughly recommend this book and will be picking it back up again for another read in the near future. Role on book 2
