Reviews: Deadly Protocol (1)
“A fabulous crime thriller”
(Paperback)
by Deb Day
It’s taken me a long time to get to this debut thriller, & I now wish I’d read it sooner. A brilliant opening with no wasted words &, bam, hold on tight for a frenetic ride to the end. Dr Ronnie Ackerman is an extremely sassy & intelligent woman, but unfortunately alcohol gets the better of her & she spends the night with her boss. This isn’t a wise move, especially as he is found dead in the sauna next morning. Ronnie runs, she knows she isn’t responsible but who is? Did her boss find the elusive cure to cancer or didn’t he? Why be killed for either reason? She is determined to find out with the help of a journalist amongst others. Buckle up readers! I am thrilled that this is the first of a series as Ronnie is a fabulous character & the author has such a natural writing style that you don’t realise how much you are reading. If you want to read someone new, start with this book.
